I gather Rick had a nice birthday. Did you 'remember' it after his forgetfulness over yours?

Not only remembered, but remembered to email the previous night, so he would get our greetings on time...
But hey, mothers are supposed to do that, it's biological.-

You're too good to him.
Did I mention a conversation a bit back when various people were talking about their teenage/twenty-something children - the common factor was the relief when they came to speak of their utterly reliable, responsible, wonderful, hard-working, perfect son Richard (even when Richard was just the middle name). Glad you stopped at one? Little Edina Joy might have turned out horrible!

Learning to hide in a crowd is a standard element in 'spy' training. Seems to me your hounds have mastered the art!

Hello. We seem to have become friends! Not sure that we are compatible, teaching at opposite ends of the educational spectrum - but I WAS doing a focus on "How to type your name on the computer" this afternoon, so perhaps we are not quite a million lightyears apart.
The other thing is that I too am hitched to a pirate - for years, my husband would announce his return home with the words "It's Smee", to which the response was "There are too many pirates in here already" or some similar "witticism".
Has your Smee taken to blogging, or decided probably not?-

Good morning Liz,
Education's a wonderful thing – it takes us “from the cradle to the grave” as they say and covers all walks of life. How did your name typing session go?
My Smee says she would like to blog, but is currently complaining she doesn’t have the time. I believe that’s an excuse for “no-one’s going to be interested in my ramblings” although I can’t be certain. She’ll get there I’m sure and has even sorted out a couple of photographs to add to her profile.
I was attracted by the comment you posted to my Smee’s blog, the humour in your fox & hounds photo, and then noticed you were also into books and theatre: I read a lot for pleasure and of course being married to a part-time thespian, theatre plays its part in my life too. Also, being honest, I wondered whether my Smee would be encouraged to ‘break the ice’ and invite fellow bloggers as friends once she saw how these things worked.

A pirate walks into a bar and the barman says "hey Long John, do you know you've got a steering wheel coming out of your breeches?". "Aaarrrr" says Long John, "it's driving me nuts."

A piece of tarmac walks into a bar, boasting about how strong and brave he is - he can stand up to anything - lorries, buses, anything. Then a piece of green tarmac comes in, and the black tarmac is reduced to a quivering wreck, hiding under the table. When the green tarmac leaves everyone is laughing at the black tarmac and ridiculing him. "You don't understand" he says, "that green tarmac's a psychopath" (cycle-path)

Good Grief, Nearest and Dearest - the man's only just considering me as a suitable friend - don't you all try to put him off this soon!

Don't be so picky - we were friends for well over forty years before we discovered we were also unavoidably related. Grin and bear it, woman!
